Riding for the Disabled horses benefit the lives of over 25,000 disabled children and adults. The organisation provides therapy, fitness and skills development and we are thrilled to play a small part in supporting them.. The two horses will become members of the LLEP Healthy Horse Club, this entitles them to receive two visits, their annual vaccination, routine dental rasp, three faecal worm egg counts, unlimited virtual nurse consults and discounts off LLEP supplements.
Our sponsored horses:
Millie is a 21 year old coloured mare from East Fife and Scooniehill RDA.
Murphy is a 23 year old bay gelding from Shiresmill Therapy Riding Centre.
The news of sponsorship has been very well received by the team leaders at both centres:
“We are delighted that LLEP are generously sponsoring Millie this year. She is a very special RDA horse and plays a vital role for the group. She is a slightly older lady and we know that she will receive the best care from the staff at LLEP which will help her continue doing the great job she does for RDA” said Frances Cape RDA Green Coach, from East Fife and Scooniehill RDA, “This amazing gift of sponsorship from Loch Leven Equine Practice means a great deal to us & we can’t thank them enough."
Catriona Morahan from Shiresmill Therapy Riding Centre said, "We are a registered charity (RDA Member Group) run completely by volunteers & donations so it’s a relief to know that Murphy, our oldest boy, will have his routine veterinary care covered for the year”.
We will be featuring Millie and Murphy on our Facebook page, where you will be able to find out more about them and the wonderful work their centres do.
