This morning, two of our Committee members represented Shiresmill at an event at Lodge Balgonie 764 in Markinch. They were there to be presented with a cheque for £1,000 following a nomination by Lodge Union Dunfermline No 250.
Along with various other charitable organisations, they were welcomed by The Provincial Grand Master Brother Stewart Quigley and several of the Provincial Grand Lodge Office Bearers. The Provincial Grand Lodge had elected to support these organisations during their 275 anniversary year.
The day started with a warm welcome to all of those who attended. On receiving the cheques it was heart warming to hear the responses and thanks from those representatives as well as the various ways in which the donations will help each one.
Those charities and good causes in the Province of Fife and Kinross who were awarded £1,000 each from the monies raised included.
