We are so sorry to tell you that Star, our beloved, cheeky silver Highland Pony has passed away.
Star had badly injured his leg in the field and when taken into the vets for assessment they found very serious damage that would never heal and although he was being very stoic, he was in a great deal of pain, even with painkillers.
With the certainty of no recovery, he could not be left in pain and the kindest decision was to put him to sleep. We are all devastated.
He was only 8 years old and had been with us for 3 years. He was the mischievous youngster of the herd who kept us on all on our toes. Loved by volunteers and his riders alike.
He will be greatly missed and will leave a hole in all our hearts.
