Shiresmill's First Dressage Competition - A Brilliant Day!

On Sunday 24th September Shiresmill Therapy Riding Centre held its very first Dressage Competition for its riders which was judged by paralympic gold medallist Kay Gebbie.
22 amazing riders took part and a great day was had by all. Our
ponies Harley, Harry, Murphy, Rio and Star took part with our little Shetland Peat being a calming force within the arena.

In the 'walk, led' test the placings were;
1st - Harvey Reid...
2nd - Sarah Fraser
3rd - Clare Bridges.
In the 'walk, unled' test the placings were;
1st place - Lily Arneil
2nd place Ayla Jane Morton.
In the 'walk/trot led' test Erin MacGrain was awarded 1st place
In the 'walk/trot unled' test Josh Syme was awarded 1st place.
Shiresmill Chairperson Lesley Furnell said 'The Riders were fantastic without exception..the horses didn't put a foot wrong'
Huge thanks to Kate Gebbie who was a fantastic judge and made everyone feel so special, and as always to our incredible team of volunteers who worked so hard and always with smiles to make the day such a brilliant success.
