Sponsorship only costs £20 per year – this goes towards vet bills; tack (which has to be well fitting so that our ponies are comfortable while they work and relax); feeding (they can’t live on grass all year); rugs – although we like our ponies to live as naturally as possible some of them have to have rugs to protect them from flies in the summer time and, of course, we can’t forget blacksmith’s bills. Our newest addition to our herd – Parker – is desperate to have some sponsors!
We would love to welcome new volunteers. You don’t have to have any experience working with horses as there are so many different tasks – fitting of hats, secretarial, photographic, maintenance, helping with our sensory park, fund-raising, welcoming riders and parents etc etc. We have many volunteers who came with no experience with horses whatsoever and they now help in classes either side walking or leading and also help get the ponies ready (and they love it!)
